Can you believe that after almost 3 years of living in Renton (and being a self-professed techno geek), I had never been to Fry's? I'm telling you, I have been deprived. At any rate, Erick finally got me there on Sunday night. We were there to buy a Squeezebox Boom, which we are enjoying as I type! It's a rather neat little toy. I particularly like that I can lie here in bed and change the station, volume, etc through my laptop instead of having to futz with the remote. It even has an alarm clock and a sleep timer! I quite enjoy it. At some point we might upgrade to the Squeezebox Duet, but for right now this is great.
Due to some unfortunate circumstances involving my big toe and mean doctors, we missed the DTR Block Party on Friday night. That was very sad, because I had really been wanting to go. Anybody out there go? How was it? I'm hoping there will be more to come. We also spaced the date for our own neighborhood picnic and missed out on the Renton Hill gathering. Some days I think we'd both wander around and bump into things if we didn't kick each other's butts into gear. :)
My latest Renton obsession has to be the Gorgonzola fries at the Williams Street Pub downtown. Those things are so good, they make me want to lick the plate. What about it, internets? What's your favorite Renton obsession of the moment?
